Connecting with Gaia

Connecting with Nature at Cae Mabon, Fachwen, Llanberis, Gwynedd. LL55 3HB

Saturday 23rd  – Thursday 28th  August 2025

Reconnect with your body and unwind in nature, breathe fresh air, listen to birdsong, wander in shady Oak woods and wild swim in a glistening lake whenever you feel like it, to say nothing of sharing delicious vegan and vegetarian food, songs and stories round the fire and a hot tub beside the rushing stream.

We have a 5-day retreat in the wild from Saturday 23rd – Thursday 28th August 2025 in Cae Mabon’s magical and inspiring environment, where we will have a relaxed programme exploring our relationship with the land, the sky, the fire and river and lake, and the liminal places and times where these worlds meet. Our connection to each other, the spirits of the land and the elements support the creation of sacred times of ceremony.

The Wild Week takes place at the wonderful retreat centre Cae Mabon with its family of beautiful, natural, earthy structures provide appealing spaces for us to sleep, meet, retreat, work and play. Cae Mabon is at the foot of high mountains with breath-taking views, in an unspoiled Oak wood beside a rushing stream and a deep lake. If the skies are clear, we hope to see the Perseid meteor shower and the Milky Way.

We will have delicious (plant-based) evening meals cooked for us, we prepare lunches together and can cater for any kind of diet.

The event will start with the evening meal on Saturday 23rd August and end before lunch on Thursday 28th August. The cost of the retreat is £360 including all food and accommodation.

The accommodation is shared and in eco-structures with basic bedding.

The Retreat takes place in a wild, wooded, and rocky landscape with considerable inclines so we will be walking on hilly terrain. Please contact us if you have physical health or mobility difficulties to see if we can accommodate your needs. The success of this event relies on the goodwill and support of all participants. By booking this event, you acknowledge that you are coming at your own risk, you confirm that you are medically and emotionally able to participate in the event, that you accept responsibility for yourself, your personal care and your own well-being.

The deadline for booking and full payment is Saturday 9th August. There are no refunds after 9th August.

As numbers are limited, please make a booking enquiry for this event, by contacting Hilary – hnorton@greenspirit.org.uk tel: 07957 318501 and let Hilary know if you have any medical or mobility issues and if you have any medical dietary requirement. We also have a bursary fund to help those who would like to come but are unable to do so because of the cost. Please make enquiries to Hilary (details above).

Due to the increasing popularity of the Wild Week, you are advised to book early to secure your place.
