Heather Topped Hills and Wooded Valleys: Exmoor
From the evening of Monday April 8th to afternoon on Thursday 11th April.
Come and blow away the winter with a couple of full days walking, venturing into the mysterious Exmoor Forests, over heather tipped moorland, and maybe catching a glimpse of wild red deer or Exmoor ponies. We hope to enjoy some sweeping sea views from the coastal path. Minehead is the start point of the South West Coast Path.
The GreenSpirit Walking Retreat will be from the dinner on Monday April 8th 2019 to afternoon, after a shared lunch, on Thursday 11th April.
We will have sole use of cosy and comfortable Minehead Youth Hostel which is in a beautiful setting and has good reviews. Address: Minehead Youth Hostel, Alcombe Combe, Minehead, Somerset, TA24 6EW. It is an attractive house high in Somerset’s Exmoor hills, enchantingly situated in secluded woodland. The hostel has lovely grounds and is situated close to some of Somerset’s most beautiful coastline. YHA Minehead is a lovely base for walkers and includes a cosy lounge with a wood stove.

Accommodation will be mostly dormitory style. We will have all our meals catered for, so we can just go out and enjoy ourselves. Folk are invited to bring meditations or short pieces to read when we stop to admire a view or catch our breath; and some of our walking will be in silence making it easier to be aware of our bodies and the sensations, smells, sights and sounds of nature.
In the evenings we will have a chance to be creative with an art activity or writing and some home-grown entertainment.
All food will be vegetarian and special diets (within reason) can be catered for.
The cost for the 3 nights in shared accommodation and all food is £180. Please send a cheque payable to ‘GreenSpirit’ to Hilary Norton, 33 Park Road, Stratford, London. E15 3QP with the booking form which you can download by clicking here. (If the booking form does not download, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and request it).
