This film is about a large asteroid heading for the Earth which would devastate much of life on the planet. The story is about a small group of scientists and helpers trying to alert the world about this impending catastrophe. They find so many obstacles in their way and are exasperated to find that a simple, clear, scientific truth gets distorted, manipulated or dismissed by vested interests.

This film is making waves in the environmental movement because it is a satire about climate change. Many people (including me) identify with the actions and feelings of some of those trying to alert the world about the impending doom. In this way, the film is cathartic, it gave me a channel to express my frustration about what is happening in the world.

Fortunately, there are some good twists and turns in the plot so it held my interest. And I am told that many of the ideas in the film are scientifically grounded so, for me, the film has a feeling of substance.

Google for the availability of the film, at the time of writing this review, it’s available on Netflix.
