When I joined GreenSpirit in the late 1990s one of the names I soon became aware of was that of Grace Blindell. Grace was one of the driving forces in those early days of our movement and I remember well my initial impression from our first meeting. Highly energetic, enthusiastic, very intelligent, kind – but clearly someone who stood no nonsense!

I knew Brendan for over 20 years, first meeting him at GreenSpirit events in the early noughties. It was in the early days of GreenSpirit, in the 1990’s, when it was called “The Association for Creation Spirituality” as inspired by Matthew Fox that he became involved. Indeed, Creation Spirituality continued to be an important part of his outlook throughout his later life.

Alan Whear was a part of GreenSpirit for nearly 20 years. He regularly came to GreenSpirit events: the Annual Gatherings, Walking Retreats and the Wild Week in Wales. And he was a Trustee of GreenSpirit from 2011 to 2020.

On October 16th 2013, I attended the funeral of a much-loved GreenSpirit member, Vincent Tilsley (born 3rd June 1932, died 29th September 2013).
